Chanel 2020/21 Prêt-à-Porter

¡Hola, mis amores! Chanel siempre me sorprende. Tengo que confesarles que soy fan de esta nueva era de la maison en la que Virginie Viard busca crear piezas que se apeguen a los códigos de la marca pero que al mismo tiempo tengan un toque de glamour despreocupado y cool.

Hi my loves! Chanel always surprises me. I have to confess that I love the new era of the maison in which Virginie Viard seeks to create pieces that adhere to the codes of the brand but at the same time have a touch of carefree and cool glamour.

En todas las colecciones que ha firmado la diseñadora, hemos viso cómo el legado de Coco Chanel, y  también el estilo de Karl Lagerfeld siguen presente con algunos cambios increíbles.

In all the collections that the designer has made, we’ve seen how Coco Chanel’s and also of Karl Lagerfeld’s legacy are still present but we’ve also seen amazing changes.

Viard se inspiró en una fotografía del kaiser de la moda en la que también aparece la que alguna vez fue una de sus musas: Anna Piaggi. La imagen fue tomada a finales de los 80’s y Lagerfeld lleva una chamarra a rayas, además de una corbata de seda negra, pantalones y botas de montar. Estas últimas estuvieron presentes en toda la colección compuesta por 72 looks. Entre las piezas que destacaron están los suéteres de punto grueso, shorts de terciopelo, faldas de tul y las creadas usando tweed. No solamente Karl era fan de los caballos y del polo. Aparentemente esta era otra de las pasiones de Gabrielle.

Viard took her inspiration from a turn-of-the-1980s photograph of Karl Lagerfeld and his muse Anna Piaggi. The image was taken in the late 80’s where Lagerfeld wears a striped jacket, plus a black silk tie, pants and riding boots. They later were present in the 72-look collection. Among the pieces that stood out are thick knit sweaters, velvet shorts, tulle skirts and those created using tweed. Not only Karl was a fan of horses and polo. Apparently this was another of Gabrielle's passions.

Me llamó mucho la atención que el hilo conductor de la colección como siempre fue el blanco y negro pero en esta nueva propuesta aparecieron colores como el color rosa o verde limón, aparte de los usados en los cinturones, mangas o collares. ¡Quiero usar todo!

I was very attracted to the fact that the collection thread as always was black and white, but in this new proposal, colors such as pink and lemon green appeared, apart from those used in belts, sleeves or necklaces. I want to wear everything!
